Kindly ensure that You provide all the necessary details when booking Your desired tour(s). It is imperative to carefully review Your confirmation and related travel documents to verify their accuracy. In the event of any discrepancies, such as booking errors concerning dates or the number of participants, please contact Smile Adventure immediately. Please be aware that closer to your departure date, amendments to your reservation may not be feasible. Please note that Smile Adventure cannot be held responsible for mistakes made during the booking process.

Smile Adventure reserves the right to modify itineraries and/or timetables if deemed necessary, primarily due to adverse weather conditions or other relevant factors beyond our control (including force majeure). Please be advised that Smile Adventure does not assume liability for expenses or other related costs arising from circumstances beyond our control, such as flight delays, changes or cancellations, injuries, adverse weather conditions, conflicts, economic impacts, natural disasters, pandemics, public health concerns, and other unforeseeable events. To ensure effective communication regarding any changes to the services You have booked, it is Your responsibility to provide Smile Adventure with accurate contact information and relevant details.

Kindly take note that all prices displayed for the services provided by Smile Adventure are denominated in the local currency, namely the Icelandic Krona (ISK). Please be aware that any prices advertised in a currency other than the Icelandic Krona are subject to fluctuations in the exchange rate. Therefore, prices not explicitly stated in Icelandic Krona should be considered indicative only, with the Icelandic Krona price prevailing. As a local operator, Smile Adventure can not assume responsibility for currency fluctuations or additional fees imposed by external entities beyond its control, such as bank transfer fees and credit card fees.

Smile Adventure reserves the right to modify it’s rates in the event of economic changes, which may include, but are not limited to currency fluctuations, inflation, increased supply costs, tax adjustments, and other unforeseen circumstances. In the case of changes in value-added tax (VAT) or other taxes, the prices specified in the customer’s contract will be adjusted accordingly. Price adjustments resulting from tax changes will be applicable to all reservations, regardless of whether they were confirmed at previous prices or payment has already been made. All rates include VAT and are subject to official tax adjustments.

Smile Adventure offers convenient pick-up and drop-off services for our tours. As a traveler, it is your responsibility to ensure a smooth pick-up experience. This entails providing Smile Adventure with Your preferred pick-up location during the booking process and being prepared at the correct time for the designated pick-up of Your tour. If You have any uncertainties regarding the time You should be ready for Your scheduled tour, please feel free to contact us at info@smileadventure.is.

Please be aware that missing the scheduled pick-up does not entitle You to a refund of the price paid for the services. It is Your responsibility to be prepared at the assigned pick-up point from the beginning of the pick-up time to ensure You do not miss our guides upon their arrival. To facilitate seamless communication during Your time in Iceland, kindly provide us with the necessary Your contact information. If You happen to miss the starting time of Your tour, a refund is not available. However, we will make every effort, whenever possible, to reschedule Your tour for another day. Please note that rescheduling is subject to availability and can not be guaranteed. If You see that will miss Your tour and wish to request a reschedule, it is Your responsibility to promptly contact Smile Adventure.

For the utmost peace of mind during Your travel, it is highly advisable to acquire a travel insurance policy that safeguards Your investment in the event of unforeseen circumstances necessitating the cancellation of Your travel reservation. We strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance that encompasses all possible scenarios, including force majeure events, injuries, flight cancellations, and other potential disruptions to Your travel plans. It is Your sole responsibility to secure such travel insurance, which ensures coverage for various eventualities.

Please note that all adventure trips and outdoor activities offered by Smile Adventure are subject to weather and overall conditions. Given the instant weather changes in Iceland, particularly during winter, we retain the right to modify Your itinerary and/or cancel Your trip prioritizing Your safety. In the event that Smile Adventure cancels Your tour due to adverse weather or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be provided. However, if You, as the customer, choose to cancel the tour based on weather considerations, a refund will not be granted. Rest assured that any tour conducted will have taken weather and safety factors into careful consideration.

In the rare instance that a significant portion of the tour cannot be delivered by Smile Adventure due to unforeseen circumstances, and alternative arrangements cannot be made, a partial refund will be issued. This refund will be directly proportional to the cost associated with the affected activity and will not follow a fixed percentage of the overall tour cost. In such a case, the Smile Adventure team will contact You directly to discuss the situation and facilitate the necessary arrangements.

It is essential to wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear during our tours. We retain the right to decline participation to customers who are not dressed appropriately or lack suitable footwear, as this may impacts their well-being and safety. In the event that You are unable to take part in an activity due to Your unpreparedness, a partial refund will not be granted.

Guests/customers are advised that all activities are undertaken at their own risk, and it is crucial to conduct oneself in a suitable and responsible manner at all times, in accordance with our guidelines or those of our partners. You must assume full responsibility for Your own safety. It is important to acknowledge that all outdoor tours and activities inherently carry risks, and Smile Adventure does not accept liability for accidents caused by customers, attributable to their own actions, or resulting from circumstances beyond human control (force majeure). By purchasing Your trip, You agree to these conditions, comprehend their implications, and accept responsibility for Your participation in the tour. Depending on the specific tour, You may be required to sign an additional liability waiver or disclose relevant medical information. If You have any uncertainties regarding Your ability to participate in certain activities, it is Your responsibility to contact Smile Adventure prior to the tour to address any concerns.

We maintain the right to decline participation to cusromers whom we suspect to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In such instances, no refund will be provided. Additionally, our guides hold the right to refuse participation to any customers whose behavior or demeanor may cause offense, distress, or jeopardize the safety of others, including fellow customers and the guide. In such cases, full cancellation charges will apply.

We can not assume responsibility for any losses or expenses incurred as a result of flight delays or changes, injuries, damages, negligence, weather conditions, acts of war, or any other unforeseeable causes (force majeure). The estimated duration of tours, as indicated on our website, serves as a general guideline and may vary based on road or weather conditions. While punctuality is of utmost importance to Smile Adventure operations, unforeseen delays may occur. Please note that the company can not be held liable for any losses experienced by passengers due to delays, regardless of whether the loss is direct or indirect.

We understand that changes in plans can occur, and there might be instances where You need to cancel or reschedule Your private guided tour. Please take a moment to review our cancellation and refund policy.

For cancellations made at least 10 days prior to the tour date, a full refund will be issued (minus transaction fees). Cancellations made between 3-9 days prior to the tour date will be eligible for a 50% refund. Unfortunately, cancellations made less then 72 hours of the tour date or no-shows will not be eligible for a refund.

In situations where inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances prevent us from conducting the tour as scheduled, we will make every effort to accommodate You by rescheduling the tour for a later date or providing a full refund.

We appreciate Your understanding and cooperation with our cancellation and refund policy. We are excited to have the opportunity to provide You with an unforgettable and enjoyable experience during Your private guided tour.

Rest assured that all personal information provided to us will be treated with utmost confidentiality and will not be shared or sold to any third party. While we may offer products or services on our website in collaboration with trusted partner companies within the Icelandic tourism sector, it’s important to note that these third-party sites operate under their own separate and independent privacy policies. Consequently, we can not accept responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these third-party sites to understand how they handle and protect Your personal information.

This agreement is governed by and in accordance with Icelandic law. In the event of a legal dispute, it shall be brought before the appropriate court, such as the Reykjanes District Court. These Terms and Conditions are subject to and comply with Icelandic law.

If You are approved for refund, then Your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to Your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If You haven’t received a refund yet, first check Your bank account again.

Then contact Your credit card company, it may take some time before Your refund is officially posted.

Next contact Your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
